Dutch colonialism, migration and cultural heritage, 31 October -- book launch and debate

On 31 October 2008 at the Museum Maluku in Utrecht an afternoon debate on the theme ‘rethinking colonialism’ will take place. At this event, the book Dutch Colonialism, Migration and Cultural Heritage, edited by Gert Oostindie, will be launched. This publication is the culmination of a project investigating the relationship between migration in the Dutch colonial world and the formation of cultural heritage. It was financed by the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture and Science and can be considered a spin-off project of AWAD. Read more...
