Four Centuries of Dutch-American Relations, 15-16 October 2009 - conference

On 15 and 16 October 2009 the conference on four centuries Dutch-American relations will take place in Amsterdam. The conference organized by the Roosevelt Study Centre, jointly with the Netherlands American Studies Association, the Free University, the John Adams Institute, and Erfgoed Nederland, aims to explore this topic and to generate discussions on Dutch-American relations in the last 400 years. Within the two-day programme, AWAD will hold a parallel session focused on the material and intangible mutual heritage between the two countries. During this session, historian Dr. Jaap Jacobs and archaeologist Dr. Joel Grossman from New York will present the most recent results of their research on this theme.
